Paper playing was intended to be a musical project – the concept of singer-songwriter Joel Bain, with the goal being to pull together a group of accomplished musicians to arrange, record, and perform some of his original material. That didn’t happen. Or at least, that hasn’t happened yet. Paper playing has become a record of my life – in all the varied dimensions, with its successes and failures – and my thoughts. I hope it’s a good read.
